I’ve been running Quack for a Cause for almost a year now, and thanks to this amazing community, we've raised thousands of dollars for nearly 100 different charities. Every time someone buys one of our awareness ducks, 10% of the purchase price goes directly to a cause that matters.
Let me say that again: 10% of the purchase price—not the profit, not the leftover change—goes to charity. That means if you pay $11 for a duck, $1.10 is donated. Period.
What’s the big deal? Here’s the truth:
A lot of folks are now selling awareness or fundraising ducks (which I love seeing—there’s room for all of us to do good!)… but many say they donate “10% of proceeds.” Sounds great, right? But here’s the catch:
👉 “Proceeds” means after they deduct the cost of materials, printing, shipping, ads, business overhead, and pay themselves for their time. In the end, there may only be $1 left—so 10% of that is 10 cents.
Meanwhile, I’m donating $1.10 from the same sale and covering the rest out of pocket, because that’s what doing it right looks like.
This isn’t about calling anyone out—it’s about helping YOU, the buyer, make informed choices. If you're supporting a cause, you deserve to know how much is truly being donated.
So please: ask questions. Read the fine print. Transparency matters. And if you're ever unsure, reach out. I’ll always be honest about where your money is going.
💙💛 Quack for a Cause is more than cute ducks—it’s a movement with heart. And I’m so proud to stand behind every donation we make.
